Hawaii - Day 6

Today we took a drive up to Waimea Canyon.  Apparently Mark Twain called it the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," but it was later determined that Mark Twain never saw it.  Hmmm. We entertained the idea of doing some hiking, but determined early on in our stay here that we Alaska girls are not cut out for exertion in heat and humidity (we have made several uphill treks back to the car from a beach and nearly died of heat stroke).  It was also a rainy day here so we enjoyed the view and moved on. Tomorrow is our last day here. We have no definitive plans other than to soak up some last minute sunshine. Aloha!
