I'm an Alaska girl, endurance athlete, and nutrition nerd with a tendency towards sarcasm. I love puppies, chocolate, and the mountains.
Even though I appeared healthy from the outside, I struggled with insomnia, fatigue, brain fog, hormonal imbalances, and just general crankiness. I wanted to train harder to improve my performance, but when easy workouts suddenly took days to recover from, that just wasn’t possible. I wanted to train, but I also didn’t want to be a zombie in the rest of my life.
In 2014 I spent several months completely exhausted and feeling sick. I was unable to do the things I loved - running and hiking with my dog - because I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open for more than a couple of hours.
I was bounced around from doctor to doctor with zero answers. Tired? Take a nap. Digestive upset? Stop eating whatever food made you feel that way. Gaining weight? Write down what you eat so you don’t overeat. Sore muscles and achy joints? Stop exercising.
As an athlete, those were not the answers I wanted nor were they the answers that would actually solve any of my issues. I practically begged for a diagnosis of any condition that I could take a pill for and feel better.
Mainstream medicine isn’t set up to serve the unique needs of athletes. It doesn’t address the WHY when it comes to symptoms and relies on bandaids for symptoms.
So I took things into my own hands. As a nurse practitioner with over 9 years of experience helping others heal their bodies and get back to living the active lives they love, I knew I needed to take a different approach and heal myself.
I transitioned my diet and started reading all the things I could find on how to get my body back in balance. Then I started experimenting and perfecting my habits, routines, mindset, and learning how I could apply what I learned about myself to my clients and patients.
Now, things are back in balance. My symptoms rarely make an appearance, my diet is right for me, and I enjoy training and living my life!
One-size-fits all, cookie-cutter solutions don’t actually work for anyone, so I’m adamant about a personalized approach. After all it’s your body, your diet, and your goals.
If you want to learn more about creating a diet that’s perfect for you, check out my Find Your Perfect Diet course.
My approach is all about getting you where you want to be with your life and goals in a way that fits in with your life and goals.
Not only am I a nurse practitioner, but I’m also an athlete just like you. I know what it takes. And I know how important feeling and performing your best is.
My goal is to help you better understand the unique needs of your body so that you can crush your goals and stay healthy (and not be cranky) for the long game.
Rather than being cranky and tired I’ve been able to:
Get my Master's degree and become a nurse practitioner (while also working a part-time job...because, school isn't free!)
Run 10 half and two full marathons
Take up the sport of triathlon and finish two Olympic distance and one Half Iron distance triathlons.
Start running ultra-marathons and complete two 50k races in three months!
Now that my health is back in balance, it’s my mission to help other tired, cranky athletes get their mojo back so they can train the way they want and still feel good enough to enjoy the rest of their lives too!
If you are
Tried, cranky, and moody
Unable to hit your training and fitness goals
Constantly getting injured and you can’t figure out why
Exhausted from doctor shopping...it’s worse than dating
Tired of not being supported or of being told that you need to quit doing the sport you love.
Now is your time!

As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Paleo foodie, research and science junkie, endurance athlete, and chronic fatigue survivor, I know that health goes far beyond diagnosing and treating disease.
My approach is holistic and I try and steer clear of putting bandaids on symptoms. I look at how all the systems in your body and all areas of your life are connected. Total wellness and long-term health is achieved by combining food, movement, and self-care practices in a way that fits into your life.
With over 9 years of clinical experience I have applied what I learned from healing my own body to helping others heal theirs without sacrificing the things that they love. Athletes, especially endurance athletes, have unique needs that, as I discovered through a lot of doctor's visits, most people just don't understand. Being told that you need to stop the sport you love is just not an option for most of us!
When I'm not helping heal cranky athletes, you can find me sharing the behind the scenes bits on Instagram, eating snacks, doing triathlons, and knitting - though not at the same time. Don't run with needles. If you find a sale on airfare to far off places, wool clothing, or jackets, please let me know ASAP because I always need more of those things in my life!
